Welcome to Laundry Thyme!

I am a homeschool mama of three children and a spouse to a firefighter and veteran.

I started Laundry Thyme due to a life-changing event. In August of 2023, my husband was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer due to being exposed to Benzene, a chemical along with its derivatives that are in many cleaning and skin care products. After receiving this heartbreaking news, I did something radical. I did a complete overhaul throughout our house starting with food, then skincare products, and started making my own cleaning supplies. I learned how to make homemade laundry detergent and purchased a brand I trusted as well. It gives us peace of mind knowing our clothes, along with our home, is on the right track on our non-toxic journey. I hope you join us in taking one step at a time to cut out the toxins and live well. 

One of the best ways to ensure we are taking care of our bodies is by consuming good quality food along with using products that support our bodies, not hinder them. Around 70% of your favorite liquid detergent is water, the remaining 30% is harsh chemicals and cleansers.

I am passionate about family and health, I am sure you are too! As a busy wife and mama, I know the struggle of keeping up with laundry. Time is precious and should be spent with our loved ones and doing the things we enjoy most. Laundry Thyme is here to give back your time-what a gift!
